Sharing the positive changes I am making for me, myself, and I in 2018.
Enjoy!
There is something to be said about a fresh start. I love pushing that “reset” button each year and setting new goals and standards to be the best version of myself yet. I think constantly challenging yourself to be a better person, or the best version of yourself can sometimes be easier said than done. It’s easy to get “stuck” in your every day routine and always think, “I will start that tomorrow” or “Next Monday I am going to give it all I’ve got”. Recently I was thinking back about all the fun things we were lucky enough to experience this past year and my mind wandered to how fast it all flew by. From there, I started thinking to couples with kids and how all the extra responsibility must make things move even faster each year for them. My husband and I are in our 30’s which means sometime soon we are going to start thinking about having kids and it hit me. You only have this ONE life to live! These past 31 years have gone by so quickly for me and I know once kids are in the picture, my future is going to come quicker and quicker with each passing day and before you know it I will be watching my grandchildren. I know…I know…this may be a little dramatic but that is what actually went through my mind. It is so easy to “Put it off until tomorrow” or “Next Monday give it all you got” but today is all you are guaranteed in this life and if my life moves as fast as this past year did, I want to start RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW to be THE BEST ME YET! Sorry for yelling at you, I got a little fired up while driving my point home. Maybe I am late to the game in having the revelation that I am no longer in my early 20’s and time is actually passing me by so quickly but I am making sure that 2018 is spent living MY ONE LIFE to the FULLEST!
I am happy to share a few of the most important things I am changing about ME, MYSELF, & I in 2018. I would love to hear from you in the comments below and see what positive changes you are making about yourself this coming year.
2018 Resolutions:
Practicing Positivity – This year I am NOT channeling my Chicken Little “THE SKY IS FALLING…THE SKY IS FALLING” mentality.
No More Cursing Slip Ups – Even if I shut my finger in the car door…NO MA’AM!!
Find A Home Base Church – Trying to find a church that is not too big or too small and makes us feel at home.
Run A 5K – If you know me, you know I do not fancy long distance runs. I ran track when I was in high school and loved being a sprinter, but I have always struggled with long distance.
Eat A Clean Diet – I agree with my #BFF Katie Lee’s quote of “No Carb Left Behind” and I am trying to leave a few behind this year.
