Spicing up my comfortable and neutral wardrobe with pops of color by adding in kimonos this spring and summer
Enjoy!
With fluctuating temperatures and being cold natured, I always like to have an additional layer near by. Enter the kimono. A socially acceptable layer that you can dress up or down for so many different occasions. I love to pair my pops of color with an overall neutral foundation. This belief is not only something I apply in my wardrobe but also in my home decor. Call me a neutral creature of habit, I will take it.
It is easy to change an outfit up by adding something small to transform it into a completely different look and feel. I recently wore this look out for a date with my husband and then repurposed it for a bridal shower the following day. Perfect for a night out at the movies where I could wrap myself up and feel comfortable all while still feeling dressed up and for a day time shower celebrating a friend, it still gave me that “at home” feel.
I always feel my most comfortable in a great pair of denim and these are always my go to for day and night. This kimono was a purchase from last year that I am still wearing on repeat. Feminine and elegant, this floral design makes me feel girly and flirty.
I am linking some of my favorite kimonos that anyone can add to their wardrobe and jazz up their next day time brunch, night out, or even an afternoon at the pool. Also, I am sharing this favorite of mine that I am waiting to arrive at my doorstep any day now and plan to bring with us for an upcoming trip we have planned.
